What is a Spirit Series competition & why should I become a host?

Spirit Series competitions are hosted at various middle school and high school locations across the country. Spirit Series events are open to all cheerleading and dance organizations. Spirit Series competitions are AmeriCheer’s and Eastern's most economical events and are fundraisers for the host school or organization. Spirit Series competitions will take place on (and host must provide) a cheer foam mat system up to 54’x42’.

What does my team/organization get for hosting a Spirit Series competition?

100% of door admissions, 10% of all Victory Wear sold*, 100% of any additional fundraisers (50/50 raffles, flower sales, etc.), participate in the “special incentives” program and the opportunity to have one team perform an exhibition for free! *Commission for Victory Wear is calculated as 10% of sales, minus ½ of the inventory shipping cost – it will only be awarded should all inventory be sent with the completed form back to AmeriCheer/Eastern within one week of the competition.

How do I get teams to come to the competition?

Marketing, Marketing, Marketing! AmeriCheer/Eastern will provide you with flyers that you can duplicate and distribute to teams around your area. In addition to the flyer, you are urged to recruit teams through emails, call campaigns, etc. AmeriCheer/Eastern will also post your competition information on its Web site (www.americheer.com) and in the brochure, which is sent to over 30,000 schools and all star programs. Remember, the spectator fees go directly to your team/organization!

In addition to the facility, tables/chairs and mat equipment, am I responsible for any additional supplies (score sheets, trophies/awards, calculators, stop watches, music, etc.)?

Trophies/awards are shipped from AmeriCheer/Eastern to the host approximately 2 days before the event. All other materials pertaining to the event (stop watches, calculators, score sheets, filler music, etc.) are brought by the AmeriCheer/Eastern representative that is running the event.

How many volunteers should I arrange for working the event?

We ask for at least 20 volunteers on the day of the event. Successful events are a result of an organized, prepared staff!
