What time do competitions usually start? The majority of Spirit Cup Competitions will begin with cheer and dance team registration followed by competition at 10 a.m. Times may vary depending on location and date.
When and where can I find a performance order? You can find all performance orders no earlier than 3 p.m. EST the Thursday prior to the event under the competition section.
On what type of floor will teams compete? All Spirit Cup competitions will provide a cheer foam floor for all cheer teams. Please reference the specific competition section within this website for details.
What happens after I submit a registration form? Once a registration form is received, a confirmation pack will be sent via US mail OR via e-mail depending upon the request on the registration form. This confirmation pack will include general information, scoring criteria and a medical waiver.
Who needs a medical waiver? All participants, cheer and dance, must fill out a medical waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Medical waivers are collected the day of the competition at registration.
What is the last day I can register? Regional registration deadline is two weeks prior to the event.
What is available at www.americheer.com and www.ameridanceinc.com? You may download registration forms, medical waivers and AmeriCheer and AmeriDance rules and guidelines. All are available in a PDF format.
Will divisions be combined? Yes, combining divisions is always a possibility. Small, medium and large divisions may be combined.
Can a participant compete on both a cheer and dance team? Yes, participants may compete on both teams: However, a crossover fee may apply.
Can I change my division the day of the competition? Yes, a division change is possible. However, a $100 change fee and a 25 point division penalty may be assessed EACH time changes to your original registration form are made during the actual event.
